The Project Proposal "Multimedial Portal for Schools in the Region South Moravia", with ESF Funding

Tourism Development Project Funding of EU Funds

The master´s thesis proposes a project financed from the EU funds. The proposal is focused on building an indoor swimming pool with wellness center in Kyjov. It analyses the current regional situation in Kyjovsko region and characterizes project´s usefulness and availability. This proposal follows the structure of formal project application. It emphasizes market, financial, economic and environmental views and assessments of the project.

Analysis effectiveness of ESF subsidy means and its influence on unemployment rate in Usti Region in 2007-2015

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate effectiveness of ESF subsidy means and its influence on unemployment rate in Usti Region in 2007-2015. Often unconvincing results of project activities that were subsidized from ESF means, which are meant to be used to lower unemployment, give rise to negative criticism and the opinion that these projects and thereby the subsidies are inefficient. The main hypothesis of this bachelor thesis is that subsidies from European Social Fund to lower unemployment in Usti Region are not used efficiently considering the difference between planned and real output. Research results in this thesis support this hypothesis, because the efficiency could be provably higher. The theoretical part is focused on defining of basic terms that are related to this topic including terminology of subsidies, funds, unemployment, labor market and public choice. The practical part consists of analysis of unemployment rate in Usti Region in 2007-2015, which is compared to situation in the Czech Republic and European Union and of analysis of efficiency of projects subsidized from ESF regarding labor market.
Gender equality and (pro)women NGOs in the Czech republic - reflection of the thematic portfolio trasformation from the EU accession.

Non-governmental non-profit organisations (NGOs) constitute an important actor and partner in implementing gender equality and formulating gender-related public policies. Their functioning and thematic portfolios are for the most part influenced by existing possibilities for funding, which have been significantly transformed by the Czech Republic joining the European Union. This research project aims to determine how EU frameworks established in the area of gender-related policies and financial resources derived from them have been influencing the thematic portfolios of gender- focused NGOs in the Czech Republic. It is divided into two sections. First, it discusses the theoretical basis of the research, introducing the problematics, identifying main gender-focused themes and embedding them within the EU agenda while defining aspects of their practical implementation through mechanisms of the structural politics of the EU. Further, the research paper concentrates on describing the means through which gender-related topics have been treated on the national level, how they are being defined and how the EU setting is being translated into the national context through the offered funding opportunities. and keywords The thesis "European programme Grundtvig as an option of persons' development in adult education" is conceived as an analytical insight into lifelong learning and education with an orientation on European education programme Grundtvig. The goal of this thesis is to emphasize a significance of the community programme Grundtvig, which support a new European strategy and to point out another option of adults' professional development. This thesis is particularly addressed to a lifelong learning progress in last years and described particular education activities within the frame of Lifelong Learning Programme 2007 - 2013. The main part is focused on the key issues in adult learning. Particularly is focused on current adult education situation in Europe, European Union strategic documents and on success implementation of the lifelong learning concept within particular national politics. At the end are also discussed European structural funds, which represent other possibility of European Union support in terms of adult education. The European Structural Funds focusing on Olomoucký region

The topic of this diploma theses are the European Structural Funds and their influence on development of tourism in Olomoucký region. The thesis describes the development of regional and structural policy in the context of the European Union and the Czech Republic. The thesis introduces the European Structural Funds, which are involved in co-financing of projects within different areas. The object is to analyze three selected projects which were realized in programming period 2007 to 2013 under the priority axis 3 Tourism. The analysis should outline the impacts of projects which were supported by European funds. Another objective is to determine whether these projects helped to meet the objectives which were set in strategic documents. The thesis includes detailed statistics about the size of the volume of funds invested in projects of priority axis 3 Tourism in Central Moravia Region for the past year.
